Lead Engineer – Fire & Security (Multi‑Skilled)

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Lead Engineer with a fire and security background to head a small team of apprenticeship‑level engineers. The role combines on‑site project delivery across the Midlands and nationwide travel with office‑based planning and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the installation, commissioning, servicing and handover of fire alarm, intruder alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
• Ensure all work complies with UK regulations and standards such as BS 7671, BS 5839 and NSI.
• Liaise with SSAIB for audits and inspections.
• Manage a team of three engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to schedule and complete projects efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Engineer in fire and security disciplines.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly.
• Strong understanding of UK regulations and industry standards.
