Lead Enterprise Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Enterprise Architect to shape the digital future of Gigaclear, a fibre broadband provider serving rural Britain. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on leadership to design a target‑state architecture and guide its delivery across BSS/OSS domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion the enterprise architecture vision, aligning it with business strategy and programme goals.
• Act as the technical authority for the technology stack, steering roadmap evolution and technology decisions.
• Lead a team of solution architects, ensuring consistent architecture solutions that drive key business outcomes.
• Deliver technical thought leadership, promote standardisation, and embed best practices across BSS/OSS layers.
• Establish and enforce governance frameworks, architecture principles, and compliance artefacts.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, design assurance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Design scalable, modular, and resilient BSS/OSS solutions that integrate legacy and modern platforms.
• Translate business and operational requirements into feasible technology designs and support delivery teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise architecture roles within the telecoms sector.
• Successful track record leading large‑scale BSS/OSS architecture initiatives.
• Strong communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work with both on‑premise and cloud environments and to influence cross‑functional teams.
