Lead ETRM Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead ETRM Developer to shape and modernise the technology platform that underpins a global energy trading business. This senior engineering role sits at the centre of the commodities trading lifecycle, collaborating closely with front‑office traders, risk, operations and technology stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance applications that support the full commodities trading lifecycle.
• Build and improve integrations between ETRM platforms and surrounding trading systems.
• Develop robust data flows, including mapping, transformations, validations and exception handling.
• Work directly with front‑office users to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Increase platform resiliency through monitoring, automation, controls and operational improvements.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
• Drive engineering best practices around testing, CI/CD and release processes.
• Mentor developers and coordinate delivery with offshore teams.
• Own production issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes.

Required profile

• Strong experience developing and supporting enterprise ETRM/CTRM platforms.
• Background in a commodity or energy trading environment.
• Hands‑on software engineering experience, not limited to configuration or support.
• Familiarity with platforms such as TriplePoint, CommodityXL, Endur/Openlink, Allegro, RightAngle or similar.
