Lead Fullstack Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer to design and deliver high‑quality software solutions for a leading organisation in the South West. You will own the technical vision, guide a team of engineers and ensure scalable, secure architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy full‑stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python and modern micro‑service patterns.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering Agile, TDD and DevOps practices.
• Define and implement cloud‑native architectures on AWS, Azure or GCP, including IaC, CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive full‑stack engineering experience with a strong focus on Java, Spring Boot and Python.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and drive projects to successful delivery.
• Deep understanding of micro‑services, event‑driven architectures and cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and applying TDD and DevOps methodologies.
