Lead Java Developer – FX Risk (Vice President)

About the role

Citi is seeking a Lead Java Developer at Vice President level to join its FX Risk technology team in London. You will work on high‑performance, low‑latency Java applications that support real‑time foreign‑exchange risk management for a global financial institution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex Java applications for FX risk management.
• Architect scalable, resilient, and secure solutions that process real‑time risk data.
• Drive technical direction, design decisions, and best‑practice adoption across the team.
• Collaborate with AI and GenAI platforms to enhance development productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering high‑performance Java systems.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly FX risk.
• Ability to lead technical teams and influence architectural decisions.

• Prompt engineering and workflow design for AI‑augmented development
• Experience with large language model platforms (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Llama)
