Lead Photographer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Photographer to manage our busy in‑house studio at the head office in Plymouth. The role combines creative direction with operational oversight, delivering high‑quality visual content for eCommerce, digital marketing, social media and advertising campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day studio operations and ensure timely delivery of brand‑focused imagery.
• Plan, coordinate and execute product and lifestyle shoots, from concept to final image.
• Design and implement lighting setups, styling concepts, set construction and equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Buying, Design, Product and Social Media teams to develop creative concepts.
• Manage studio workflows, schedules and project priorities to meet deadlines.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the photography team.
• Maintain and troubleshoot studio equipment, cameras, lighting systems and production resources.
• Monitor emerging photography and visual trends and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a commercial retail photography environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or manage a photography studio and creative team.
• Strong knowledge of eCommerce, retail and marketing photography.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple concurrent projects.
• Creative eye with a solid commercial focus.
