Lead Practitioner – Pre‑School Setting

About the role

Reed Education Plymouth is seeking an experienced Early Years professional to join a well‑established nursery as a Lead Practitioner for the pre‑school room. This full‑time temporary position offers the chance to lead a team and shape a high‑quality learning environment for young children.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support the pre‑school team to maintain high‑quality practice.
• Develop and implement a rich, engaging curriculum aligned with EYFS.
• Collaborate with the nursery leadership team to meet each child’s needs.
• Build strong relationships with families and the wider community.
• Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment for play‑based learning.

Required profile

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Desirable: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Level 6 Early Years qualification.
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Reflective approach to practice and genuine passion for children’s learning.
