Lead Procurement Manager – Logistics Procurement

About the role

ASDA is transforming its procurement function and needs a senior leader to manage a large logistics spend portfolio. You will shape category strategies across transport, warehousing, fleet, home delivery and related services, influencing commercial decisions that impact customer availability and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for the logistics portfolio.
• Lead complex sourcing projects, tenders and high‑value commercial negotiations.
• Ensure robust commercial governance, risk management and supplier compliance.
• Analyse spend, market trends and supplier capabilities to inform decisions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across supply‑chain, logistics and operations.
• Contribute to ASDA’s Procurement Transformation Programme and strategic logistics initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value supplier relationships.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders within large organisations.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced transformation environment.
