Lead Project Manager

About the role

As a Lead Project Manager you will join Post Office’s transformation programme, driving the delivery of complex HR and technology projects that support strategic objectives. Reporting to the Transformation Delivery Director and working closely with the Programme Sponsor, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of HR and technology transformation projects, from initiation through implementation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, manage expectations and maintain effective communication.
• Ensure robust governance, risk and issue management in line with existing frameworks.
• Track budgets, timelines and resources, reporting progress to senior leadership.
• Shape project scope and deliverables to align with organisational priorities and community impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex transformation, HR or technology projects.
• Recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2).
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong blend of HR and technology project experience is highly desirable.
