Lead Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is building the bank of the future in the UK and Europe. As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer you will join a diverse, inclusive and geographically distributed team delivering reliable, resilient digital banking services for Chase UK customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of reliability, monitoring and alerting for mission‑critical microservices.
• Reduce operational toil through automation and build reliable infrastructure and tooling.
• Develop service metrics, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, dashboards and actionable alerts.
• Partner with development teams throughout the software lifecycle to design for reliability and scale.
• Design and implement self‑healing and resiliency patterns such as graceful degradation, rate limiting, circuit breakers and failover strategies.
• Execute performance testing and capacity planning to identify and remove bottlenecks.
• Participate in feature planning to embed metrics, logging, automation and resiliency from the start.
