Lead Software Engineer – Margin Technology (Vice President)

About the role

Citi is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the transformation of its margin and collateral technology platform. You will join a global team that builds high‑performance, resilient systems supporting trillions of dollars of daily transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end software solutions for margin, collateral and post‑trade processes.
• Collaborate with product owners, business users and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver automated, low‑maintenance platforms.
• Lead technical decisions, code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure scalability, reliability and security of micro‑service and event‑driven architectures.
• Contribute to building a strong engineering culture across global teams.
