Lead Software Engineer XVA (VP level)

About the role

Join Citi's XVA Technology team in London as a Lead Software Engineer at Vice President level. You will work at the intersection of advanced software engineering and AI‑driven innovation, building production‑grade systems that power global XVA risk calculation and management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑performance software solutions for XVA risk systems while adhering to enterprise architecture standards.
• Integrate AI and Machine Learning models, including Generative AI tools, into core XVA workflows to automate processes and improve analytical accuracy.
• Own technology projects end‑to‑end, from design through production release, coordinating engineering, business, and operations teams.
• Lead project delivery, managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations to keep teams focused and unblocked.
• Translate complex business requirements from Risk, Operations, and Technology partners into clear functional specifications and working software.
• Drive Agile delivery practices across distributed teams, facilitating sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and releases.
• Define project scope, ensure regulatory and compliance adherence, and proactively mitigate technical risks.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, sharing technical knowledge and promoting modern engineering and AI tooling practices.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on software engineering experience at senior (Vice President) level or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and deliver production‑grade systems.
• Strong understanding of risk technology, regulatory requirements, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience working with AI/ML solutions and integrating them into enterprise workflows.
