Lead Teacher of Food Technology (Part‑Time, Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting an outstanding secondary school in Merton, South West London. The school seeks a Lead Teacher of Food Technology on a one‑year fixed‑term, part‑time contract to drive high standards of teaching and learning within the Design & Technology department.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and maintain high standards of Food Technology teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
• Lead the development and delivery of the Food Technology curriculum within the Design & Technology faculty.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on whole‑school improvement initiatives and the effective use of digital technology.
• Deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons that inspire student achievement.
• Contribute to departmental and whole‑school teaching and learning strategies.

Required profile

• Qualified specialist in Food Technology or Food & Nutrition.
• Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a preference for Key Stage 5 experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a curriculum area.
• Passion for food education, nutritional science and global food cultures.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced school environment.
