About the role
DXC Luxoft Financial Services is building a new engineering squad in Bucharest to deliver a Financial Markets Clearing Platform for FX Swaps, a highly regulated, low-latency system with strict requirements on resilience, performance and availability. The London vacancy is for a Lead/Senior QA Automation Engineer within this project. You will work in an Agile Scrum environment, covering the full testing lifecycle from test design through automation, execution and production validation, while adhering to client engineering standards and SDLC practices.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation frameworks for the FX Swaps clearing platform
- Develop and maintain automated functional and integration tests (API and microservices)
- Validate real-time trade processing workflows
- Cover non-functional testing (performance, resilience, reliability)
- Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality-by-design
- Execute and maintain regression test suites and CI/CD test pipelines
- Contribute to test strategy, test plans and test documentation
- Work with tools such as Cucumber, Orca and open-source testing frameworks
- Support integration testing with external FX venues (e.g. FX Matching)
- Take part in Agile ceremonies and cross-team collaboration
- Support production validation, releases and post-go-live activities
Required profile
- Strong experience in test automation (Java-based or similar)
- Experience testing REST APIs and microservices architectures
- Understanding of databases (Oracle) and SQL
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Experience in Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
Required skills
- Test automation with Cucumber or BDD frameworks
- Functional and integration testing
- Non-functional testing (performance, load, resilience)
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Nice to have: Capital Markets / FX domain experience and exposure to distributed systems or cloud environments
