Leak Detection Technician

About the role

As a Leak Detection Technician you will work on‑site across a variety of client locations, using specialist equipment to locate water leaks, perform water audits and record accurate meter readings. You will compile detailed reports that enable timely repairs and help clients reduce water consumption.

Key responsibilities

• Use C.A.T and Genny equipment, listening sticks, correlators and ground microphones to pinpoint exact leak locations.
• Complete clear, accurate leak reports that meet client and subcontractor standards.
• Conduct visual site assessments, flow tests and usage checks to identify high water consumption and suggest reduction measures.
• Take timely water meter reads and update the company’s software systems.
• Maintain high health‑and‑safety standards and consistently meet performance KPIs.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in leak detection.
• Excellent attention to detail when recording data and writing reports.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined and safety‑conscious approach to problem solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with C.A.T and Genny leak detection equipment.
• Experience using listening sticks, correlators and ground microphones.
• Comfortable operating field‑service software and mobile apps for scheduling and expense management.
