About the role
The Learning and Development Assistant – Vocational Learning (Assessor) will be based at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. Working within the Learning and Development team, you will support the delivery and assessment of vocational qualifications for staff and external learners.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance on vocational qualifications to line and service managers.
- Conduct workplace assessments and support candidates undertaking SVQ/MAs in Business & Administration and Learning & Development (SCQF Levels 6‑7).
- Collaborate with the Business Support Manager to meet operational requirements of training and education centres.
- Maintain accurate assessment records and ensure compliance with NHS Scotland learning standards.
Required profile
- UK driving licence (essential).
- Experience in delivering or supporting vocational learning, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SVQ/MAs frameworks and SCQF qualification levels.
