About the role
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable support worker to support a young adult in their day‑to‑day life. The client is a 25‑year‑old young man with learning disabilities, ASD, ADHD and asthma. The successful candidate will provide person‑centered care and support, helping the individual with daily activities, personal care where required, social activities, communication, and maintaining his independence.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as cooking and cleaning
- Provide personal care including hygiene assistance
- Facilitate participation in social activities
- Support communication development
- Encourage independence in everyday tasks
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is desirable
- Patient and caring attitude
- Reliable and dependable
- Ability to build a positive relationship with the young adult
