Learning Support Assistant – Cambridge (Full‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Cambridge from September. You will work directly with pupils, helping them achieve their academic and social potential in an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom and one‑to‑one learning support to pupils with additional needs.
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to suit diverse learning styles.
• Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teaching team.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction among students.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a UK school setting (placements accepted).
• Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.

Required skills

• Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year, desirable).
• Relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualifications (desirable).

• Daily rate of £90‑£100 depending on experience.
