Learning Support Assistant – Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a non‑verbal Year 4 pupil with complex learning needs in a welcoming Catholic infant school in Burnt Oak, Edgware. The role is full‑time and runs on a long‑term basis until July 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 support to a KS2 child, assisting with personal care and daily routines.
• Use visual aids, alternative communication methods and structured routines to facilitate classroom engagement.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO and pastoral team to monitor progress.
• Track and report progress in line with the child’s EHCP.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Nursery Assistant, preferably in KS2.
• Strong understanding of SEN, especially ASD and ADHD.
• Comfortable providing personal care and supporting daily routines.
• Compassionate, patient and adaptable with good interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Experience using visual aids and alternative communication tools.
• Ability to implement structured routines and monitor educational progress.
