Learning Support Assistant – Full‑Time (Sept 2026)

About the role

The school in central Manchester is seeking two enthusiastic graduates to join its Learning Support team from September 2026. You will work closely with teachers and the SEND department to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with SEN and EAL needs.
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning requirements.
• Help students build confidence, independence and academic progress.
• Maintain accurate records of support sessions and student progress.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach to each learner’s development.

Required profile

• UK degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, English, Mathematics, Science or a related subject.
• Strong academic record and genuine passion for education.
• Previous experience working with children or young people (tutoring, mentoring, youth work, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, patient and resilient attitude towards supporting learning.
