Learning Support Assistant – Gloucester

About the role

Join a mainstream primary school in Gloucester as a Learning Support Assistant. You will work alongside teachers to provide targeted assistance to pupils with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve academic and personal success in a caring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel motivated.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support tailored to individual learning requirements.
• Assist in developing and implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and personalised learning strategies.
• Support pupils in building social and emotional skills that enhance overall learning.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver engaging lessons and manage behaviour.

Required profile

• Patience, commitment and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Clear DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to start as soon as possible and work term‑time (8:30 am – 3:30 pm).
