Learning Support Assistant – Inclusive Primary School (Lambeth)

About the role

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Lambeth. The role starts in September 2026 and involves providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs across Key Stages 1 and 2.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance in literacy, numeracy and communication.
• Adapt learning activities to suit individual pupil requirements.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Support teachers in creating an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a primary or SEN setting.
• Patient, proactive and adaptable with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Effective communication with staff, parents and outside agencies.
• Genuine passion for helping children overcome learning barriers.
