Learning Support Assistant

About the role

Support students with SEND and additional learning needs both within lessons and around the school. Work closely with teaching staff to ensure every learner can access the curriculum and make progress.

Key responsibilities

• Support students with SEND and additional learning needs during lessons and throughout the school day.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning activities and ensure accessibility.
• Provide academic, social and emotional support to individual pupils and small groups.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within a school setting.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, proactive and resilient approach.
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
