About the role
A well‑regarded inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder starting September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Providing one‑to‑one support throughout the school day
- Supporting engagement, communication and classroom routines
- Managing behaviour using consistent strategies
- Helping the pupil access learning activities and transitions
- Working closely with teaching staff and the SEN team
Required profile
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and positively
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Patient, resilient and proactive attitude
- Team‑working skills
