Learning Support Assistant – Maths/English/Science (Full‑Time)

About the role

The school in Lambeth is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with strong knowledge in at least one core subject – Mathematics, English or Science. This full‑time, on‑site position involves supporting pupils throughout the school day and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students in the identified core subject.
• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering differentiated lessons.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching team.
• Help maintain a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar school‑based role.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics, English or Science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, patient and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting learning.
• A degree is preferred but not essential.
