Learning Support Assistant – Primary (Part‑time, Term‑time)

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its infant team from September 2026. This part‑time, term‑time position (8:30 am‑1:00 pm, Monday‑Friday) offers the chance to work in a welcoming, inclusive environment where young children are encouraged to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils within the classroom, both individually and in small groups.
• Provide tailored learning support to help children access the curriculum.
• Encourage confidence, independence and social development.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff.
• Assist with emotional, behavioural and educational needs of pupils.
• Promote a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting young children.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting.
• Patient, caring and supportive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility, commitment and a positive outlook.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
