Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time, academic‑year position starts in September 2026 and runs until July 2027. You will join a forward‑thinking primary school within a multi‑academy trust, supporting pupils who need extra academic, behavioural, or emotional assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with pupils requiring additional support to access learning.
• Deliver structured intervention programmes and targeted support sessions.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Support children both inside and outside the classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and SEN professionals.
• Contribute to strategies that help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient nature.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for helping pupils achieve their goals.
