Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time)

About the role
This full‑time, academic‑year position starts in September 2026 and runs until July 2027. You will join a forward‑thinking primary school within a multi‑academy trust, supporting pupils who need extra academic, behavioural, or emotional assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with pupils requiring additional support to access learning.
- Deliver structured intervention programmes and targeted support sessions.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
- Support children both inside and outside the classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and SEN professionals.
- Contribute to strategies that help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
- Calm, adaptable and resilient nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping pupils achieve their goals.
