Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (No TA Qualification Required)

About the role

Aspire People is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work in primary schools across Manchester. The role is open to candidates who have hands‑on experience with children but do not hold a formal Teaching Assistant qualification. You will join a supportive school team and help pupils achieve their best.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting pupils within the classroom
• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support
• Assisting with reading, writing, maths and classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Working closely with teachers and support staff
• Assisting with classroom management and inclusion activities

Required profile

• Recent experience working with children or young people
• Strong communication skills
• Patient and supportive approach
• Reliable and adaptable attitude
• Ability to build positive relationships
• Genuine interest in working within education
• Flexibility to adapt to varying classroom needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
