Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Salisbury)

About the role

This full‑time position supports children with additional needs in a vibrant primary school in Salisbury. You will work directly with pupils, helping them overcome learning barriers and develop social skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group academic support tailored to each child’s needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, educational psychologists and other professionals to implement personalised education plans.
• Create and adapt learning materials that enable pupils to succeed in a mainstream classroom.
• Foster an engaging, inclusive environment that encourages participation and confidence.

• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Caring, patient and dedicated attitude.
• Ability to build empathetic relationships and adapt approaches for individual learners.
• Strong teamwork skills to work closely with teaching staff and specialists.
