Learning Support Assistant – Primary Schools (Temporary Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a range of primary schools in South East England. The role involves providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils, helping them achieve their learning goals and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions and small‑group activities aligned with classroom objectives.
• Provide one‑to‑one assistance to pupils who need additional help.
• Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs and other staff to plan and review support strategies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Positive, patient and nurturing attitude.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build constructive relationships.
• Willingness to hold an enhanced DBS check or existing DBS clearance.

Required skills

• Ability to follow safeguarding procedures.
• Basic understanding of SEND, Autism, ADHD and SEMH.
