Learning Support Assistant – Primary/Secondary Schools

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Andover. You will support teachers and help students stay focused, engaged and confident, delivering assistance either one‑to‑one or in small groups.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group assistance to pupils.
• Help pupils stay engaged, focused and confident.
• Support behaviour management and encourage positive routines.
• Assist with classroom activities, lessons and resources.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Patient, supportive and confident in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable and able to respond to different needs.
• Reliable team player.
• Backgrounds in childcare, youth work, coaching or education welcomed.
• Graduates seeking school experience encouraged.
