Learning Support Assistant – Psychology Graduate (Primary School)

About the role

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to join a vibrant primary school in Brent as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This full‑time, on‑site position offers a solid foundation for anyone aspiring to a career in educational psychology, therapy, or teaching within a SEND environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
• Facilitate sensory activities that encourage engagement and development.
• Prepare and organise resources and materials to enhance classroom learning.
• Deliver constructive feedback to teachers and parents regarding student progress.
• Work closely with pupils who have autism, severe learning difficulties, and other complex needs, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

• Empathy and patience, with a caring approach to individual student needs.
• Flexibility to adapt support styles to varied learning behaviours.
• Strong communication skills for building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• Resilience to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
