About the role

Supply Staff Limited is looking for a caring Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Hertfordshire. The role is full‑time and focuses on providing academic and emotional assistance to pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum on an equal basis.

Key responsibilities

Deliver tailored one‑to‑one or small‑group support during lessons.
Assist teachers with classroom activities and adaptations.
Support the development of students’ learning, social and life skills.
Monitor progress and report observations to teachers and specialists.
Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to meet individual education plans.

Required profile

Previous experience in a learning support or similar role is desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Willingness to undertake training and professional development.
