Learning Support Assistant (SEN College)

About the role

We are looking for a flexible, patient and caring Learning Support Assistant to work in a small SEN college that supports young adults with PMLD, complex needs, ASD and speech and language difficulties. The role is term‑time only, 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑4:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom support for Key Stage 3 pupils, either one‑to‑one or in small groups.
• Promote independent learning and inclusion for all students as required.
• Assist teachers with monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress.
• Monitor and manage classroom stock and supplies.
• Supervise students between lessons and during arrival and departure.

Required profile

• Maths and English GCSE grade A*‑C / 9‑4 or equivalent.
• Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND needs.
• Confident communication with parents, students and the public.
• Good ICT skills.
