About the role
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within supportive schools in Lambeth. The role involves providing dedicated 1:1 and small‑group assistance to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them achieve confidence, independence and academic progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties and other learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment and assist with behaviour management.
- Promote student wellbeing and encourage confidence and independence.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children or young people in primary or secondary settings.
- Interest or experience in SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Patient, resilient, caring and adaptable.
Required skills
- Understanding of EHCPs and SEN strategies.
- Safeguarding or SEN‑related training (desirable).
