Learning Support Assistant – SEN School (Primary & Secondary)

About the role

Join a highly regarded specialist school near Horsham supporting pupils aged 5‑18 with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH/trauma‑related needs. Roles are available for Primary Learning Support Assistants, Secondary Learning Support Assistants, and a Literacy Support (HLTA) position, all starting in September.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted reading and comprehension interventions (Literacy Support)
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to encourage engagement and access to learning (LSA)
• Work across spelling, organisation, working memory, and emotional literacy
• Help identify additional needs, including screening for dyslexia
• Contribute to a structured, therapeutic environment that builds confidence and independence

Required profile

• Passion for supporting children with SEN
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic attitude
• Desire to build a long‑term career in a specialist setting
• Relevant literacy/intervention experience for the HLTA role
