Learning Support Assistant – SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role

Join a dedicated SEN school in Wickford as a Learning Support Assistant, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with severe learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers to create an inclusive environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support students from early years through young adulthood with tailored learning activities.
• Assist teachers and professionals in delivering personalised learning plans.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Facilitate classroom tasks and encourage active student participation.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Experience or understanding of autism, learning disabilities, and other SEN.
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Positive attitude, strong initiative, and ability to follow teaching staff guidance.
