Learning Support Assistant – Special School (Stratford)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist school in Stratford. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to help pupils with special educational needs access the curriculum and develop independence.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, communication and social development during lessons and in one‑to‑one settings.
• Assist with tailored intervention programmes and classroom activities.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and personal care as required.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and external professionals.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in a special school.
• Genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to provide personal care and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.
