Learning Support Assistant – Support Pupils in Winchester

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in schools across the Winchester area. The successful candidate will help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence and stay engaged throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils during lessons, break times and transitions.
• Assist teachers with classroom preparation, learning resources and behaviour management.
• Encourage positive learning routines and help pupils remain focused and motivated.
• Build supportive relationships with pupils and staff, promoting an inclusive environment.
• Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people in a school, childcare or youth setting.
• Patient, approachable and able to adapt to individual pupil needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable team player with a commitment to safeguarding.
• Graduates and individuals with backgrounds in childcare, coaching or education are encouraged to apply.
