Learning Support Assistant (Unqualified) – Southend-on-Sea

About the role
This temporary, full‑time position offers sociable hours with no weekend work (8:30 am‑3:30 pm). You will support children with special educational needs (SEN) in a Southend‑on‑Sea school, either one‑to‑one or in small groups.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one and group support to SEN students.
- Assist with classroom activities and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development.
- Motivate and encourage students, promoting positivity.
Required profile
- Passion and commitment to working with children.
- Previous experience with SEN children is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to obtain a valid DBS check (or already hold one).
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- UK residency or recent relocation with appropriate police clearance.
