Learning Support Assistant – Wandsworth (Full/Part‑Time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth, providing high‑quality support to learners across further education settings. This role can be undertaken on a full‑time, part‑time or temporary basis, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Assist learners, including those with special educational needs (SEN), in classroom and pastoral settings.
• Support teachers by preparing learning materials and helping with day‑to‑day classroom activities.
• Monitor learner progress and report any concerns to senior staff.
• Promote a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and support interventions.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with students or young adults in a school, college or care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to support learners with a variety of SEN needs.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Minimum GCSE A‑C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service and immediate availability.
