Learning Support Assistant – Year 4 (One-to-one SEN)

About the role
A well‑organised primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant to work one‑to‑one with a Year 4 pupil who needs additional support to stay engaged with learning.
Key responsibilities
- Support a Year 4 pupil one‑to‑one during lessons.
- Help regulate behaviour and deliver short literacy and confidence‑building interventions.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo, following support plans.
- Adapt strategies as needed to maintain pupil engagement.
Required profile
- Experience supporting SEN pupils in Key Stage 2.
- Calm, resilient and confident in managing behaviour.
- Ability to follow and adapt support plans.
- Clear communication with staff and parents.
- Holder of an Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
