Learning Support Coordinator

About the role

The Learning Support Coordinator will join the Learning Support team at Hadlow campus, working closely with the Learning Support Manager. This full‑time position focuses on coordinating support for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), especially those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual reviews and statutory responsibilities for SEND learners.
• Manage consultations for prospective learners and maintain accurate, compliant records.
• Collaborate with learners, parents, carers, local authorities, curriculum teams and external agencies.
• Support the development of inclusive practice across the college.
• Provide guidance to Learning Support staff and undertake line‑management duties.
• Assist in creating support plans for learners without an EHCP.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, organised and resilient with excellent communication skills.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and inclusive practice.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Proven experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
