Learning Tutor – Part‑time

About the role

Ivy Lane Primary School is seeking a confident and adaptable Learning Tutor to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The role is part‑time, covering 24 hours per week during term time, and supports teachers in planning, preparation and delivery of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson planning and preparation.
• Provide targeted support to pupils, including marking work and maintaining attendance registers.
• Deliver learning activities in line with the curriculum for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Record pupil progress accurately and contribute to assessment data.
• Participate in curriculum, organisational and pastoral meetings.

• Enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning and development.
• Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of different classes.
• Strong communication skills for working with teachers, pupils and parents.
• Commitment to the school’s values of learning, environment, others and ourselves.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with school record‑keeping systems.
• Ability to mark assignments and track attendance accurately.
