Leather Goods Designer

About the role

DeMellier is seeking a highly creative and technically precise Leather Goods Designer to lead the full design cycle of luxury accessories. You will translate visionary research into ready‑to‑produce specifications, ensuring each piece aligns with the brand’s ethical and minimalist aesthetic.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct immersive research across art, architecture, vintage archives and historical references to develop seasonal concepts.
• Design original leather goods and bespoke hardware, balancing innovation with DeMellier’s DNA.
• Manage colour, texture and leather grain relationships, creating digital colour‑ups and material animations.
• Transform 2D sketches into 3D prototypes, building refined mock‑ups to test proportion, volume and line.
• Produce immaculate technical specifications and detailed proto comments using Adobe Illustrator.
• Maintain design documentation, digital infrastructure and sample organisation with high autonomy.
