Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy (0.4 FTE)

About the role

The University of Brighton is seeking a passionate, registered humanistic counsellor or psychotherapist to join its Counselling and Psychotherapy team on a part‑time permanent basis (0.4 FTE). You will help shape the learning experience of postgraduate students across BACP‑accredited diplomas and a UKCP‑accredited MSc.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and seminars for postgraduate modules.
• Mark assessments, scrutinise student portfolios and supervise research projects.
• Participate in selection and interviewing of course applicants.
• Contribute to the planning, development and continuous improvement of modules.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification or equivalent professional experience in psychotherapy.
• Professional accreditation/registration with UKCP or BACP.
• Previous teaching experience at postgraduate level or extensive relevant practice experience.
