Lecturer in ESOL

About the role

Chichester College Group is seeking two enthusiastic ESOL Lecturers to join its Chichester campus on a one‑year fixed‑term basis. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and involves delivering engaging English language lessons to learners whose first language is not English, supporting their integration into the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ESOL teaching sessions in line with the approved syllabus.
• Prepare learning materials, set and mark assessments and assignments promptly.
• Maintain accurate student records and produce regular reports and statistics.
• Contribute to high student retention and success rates by meeting performance targets.
• Develop curricula and activities that address literacy, numeracy, equality and diversity.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities for vulnerable learners.

Required profile

• Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant subject.
• Proven experience delivering ESOL lessons.
• Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Creative and innovative approach to meeting learner needs.
