Lecturer in Health & Social Care

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer to deliver Health & Social Care programmes across our Newcastle and Leek campuses. The role involves teaching Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas, BTEC Extended Diplomas and HNC courses, as well as the new T Level Health qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons for Health & Social Care qualifications.
• Prepare teaching materials, set and mark examinations, and monitor student progress.
• Produce progress reports and maintain accurate student records.
• Contribute to college marketing activities, open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
• Participate in continuous professional development and curriculum improvement.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Recent experience in the health‑care sector.
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain support).
• Experience of teaching in the further education sector is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
