Lecturer in Sport & Public Services (Variable Hours)

About the role

This flexible, variable‑hours position allows you to share your industry expertise in sport, fitness or public services with learners at Wiltshire College & University’s Salisbury Campus. You will inspire the next generation of professionals, balancing your own commitments while delivering high‑quality vocational education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Sport and Public Services programmes across vocational courses.
• Plan and deliver theory and practical sessions that develop learners' knowledge, skills, fitness, teamwork and leadership.
• Prepare learners for progression into higher education, apprenticeships, employment and careers in sport and public services.
• Create a positive, safe and motivating learning environment that promotes achievement and participation.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and support learners to achieve their goals.

Required profile

• Relevant industry experience in sport, uniformed public services, coaching, fitness or community engagement.
• Ability to deliver inclusive vocational teaching and support diverse learners.
• Experience guiding learners towards further education, apprenticeships or employment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
