Lecturer in Timber – Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking a qualified timber trade professional to join our college as a Lecturer in Timber. You will inspire and develop the next generation of craftsmen by delivering high‑quality teaching to both young learners and adult students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess timber‑related curriculum for a range of learners.
• Incorporate essential employability skills such as maths, English and enterprise into lessons.
• Contribute to the development of innovative teaching materials and course structures.
• Support students’ progression towards industry‑recognised qualifications.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and adhere to college policies.

Required profile

• Qualified timber or carpentry trade professional with relevant industry experience.
• Passionate about teaching and developing students’ employability.
• Willingness to engage in curriculum development and continuous improvement.
• Commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
